The Savannah Blockchain Academy is a blockchain training institute, located in Uganda - the heart of Africa, which trains young men and women to become world-class blockchain software developers.

Blockchain is one of the leading fourth industrial revolution (4IR) technologies poised to make asignificant impact on the way business is conducted in the years ahead. The World Economic Forum predicts that by 2027, approximately 10% of the world’s GDP will be stored on the blockchain.

To achieve the full promise of the technology, there remains a significant challenge that must be overcome. There is a currently a shortage of highly skilled blockchain developers available to build the blockchain solutions of the future, with only 1 blockchain developer available for every 14 job openings as reported by Techcrunch in Feb 2018. The Savannah Blockchain Academy has been created to address this gap of highly skilled blockchain coders.
